Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 4 June 2026

Tonic Desk is committed to making our website and CRM application usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement explains where we are with that commitment, where we still have work to do, and how to get in touch if you need help or want to report a problem.

Standard we work to

We aim to conform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, as adopted by the European harmonised standard EN 301 549.

This is the legal bar for the UK Equality Act 2010 and the European Accessibility Act (which became enforceable on 28 June 2025 and applies to digital services offered to consumers in the EU).

Current compliance status

This website (tonicdesk.com): Partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA.

We carried out an internal audit on 4 June 2026 across the 7 SEO / UX / accessibility pillars. The findings are tracked in our remediation backlog.

What we have fixed

  • Body link colour raised to a contrast ratio of 5.42:1 against the page background (was 3.63:1, failing).
  • Primary buttons now ship a colour gradient where every point on the surface meets a 5.42:1 contrast ratio for white text (was 2.64:1, failing).
  • Quiz capture form now has explicit for/id label associations, autocomplete tokens, and proper input modes.
  • 19 decorative inline SVG icons across our templates now carry aria-hidden="true" and focusable="false".
  • The mobile navigation menu now supports Esc-to-close, returns focus to the toggle button, and traps Tab inside the menu while open.
  • The cookie banner now reserves scroll padding while visible so it does not obscure focused content (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.4.11).

Known issues we are still working on

  • A small number of pages contain inline style="" attributes inherited from earlier content. These are being migrated to the design system.
  • We do not yet publish customer testimonials. When we do, all quoted speakers will have verifiable attribution (full name, role, company, optional LinkedIn URL).

Compatibility

We test with the latest two versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile. We test with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS) and at least one of NVDA / JAWS on Windows. We support increased browser zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling on standard viewport widths.

Reduced motion

All animations on this site honour the operating system's "reduce motion" preference. If you have prefers-reduced-motion: reduce set, decorative animations stop and counters render their final values directly.

Feedback and contact

If you find any part of this website or our CRM application difficult to use, please tell us. We treat accessibility bugs the same way we treat functional bugs: with a tracked issue and a fix.

When you contact us, please describe the problem, the page or feature where you encountered it, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and your browser.

Enforcement procedure (EU users)

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the accessibility enforcement body in your country under the European Accessibility Act. A list of national enforcement bodies is published by the European Commission.

Technical specifications

This website is built as a static site (Lektor) and served via Amazon CloudFront. Accessibility features rely on the following web technologies:

  • HTML (semantic landmarks, ARIA attributes)
  • CSS (focus indicators, reduced-motion media query)
  • JavaScript (keyboard handlers, focus management)

Where JavaScript is unavailable, the site still renders, all content is reachable, and forms submit through standard HTTP POST.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 4 June 2026, following an internal audit performed by the Tonic Desk team using automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse Accessibility) and manual keyboard / screen-reader testing.

The statement will be reviewed at least annually, or sooner if substantial changes are made to the website.
